BOOTLEG MB Original

Scratcher: a person who finds a way to buy a "tattoo kit" and begins trying to tattoo people without any health training or professional tattoo training...they are not safe and usally just copy other peoples art for money. Since they have no training the work leaks quality and may cause the person major problems later.

I was on facebook this morning and someone tagged me in a photo... When I saw the pic it was a bootleg version of one of my drawings from 2005 turned into a VERY WACK tattoo...I don't understand why this person went to a scratcher... If they were a fan of my art then they should've known how I feel scratchers and bootleg art....I wouldn't mind if a professional tattooist use my art are tattoos as long as I'm given credit for my work art but this tattoo is 100% low in quality....whoever did this so-called "tattoo" didn't do justice to my artwork and it's a disappointment.... But I don't feel sorry for the person who let them put this bootleg trash on them... We have to love ourselves more....this is your skin! Invest in your body you only have one of them...

The drawing I did in 2005... It was actually a tattoo design for a client I lose in touch with when I moved shop locations

Here is the bootleg tattoo.. They tried to copy the style but wasn't trained so they fell short on linework, shading, color, & quality... I just hope this young lady is safe now and didn't catch anything from a unsafe untrained scratcher with no respect for professional tattooing

HAM. They say when people do things like that it is a form of flattery, but me personally, I would rather people NOT DO IT and just send me a damn thank you card or something! Anyway, soon Miya soon, I am coming, almost to my goal dammit! :0)

Ok, there version looks TERRIBLE!! I would have been mad if i brought your pic in and left with that! WTF. Like u said that's what happens when u go to someone who is untrained. I wouldn't even put that on FB and the fact that they tagged you is offensive. Clearly anybody that follows your work knows u wouldn't produce anything that unsightly, smh!

My question is did you ever use the drawing, did you put it on any one. I think its hot and would gladly display it right.

Utter bullshit SON! All I can say. I knew people bit other folks styles but og pieces of art....WTF! Way to go to the person who royally fucked this up and the person who has to walk around hiding it. Well, should hide it anyway.

I'm not going to voice my opinion about scratchers because anyone who would let a scratcher tattoo them clearly doesn't care about their health & safety, nor do they have a true love/respect for art and my opinion wouldn't matter anyway.
BUT...scratchers who show lack of creative talent, imagination, or originality will never make it in the art or tattoo world. You should never rip off any other artist to begin with, but you especially shouldn't do it if you're not going to do anything but disrespect the artists original work by turning it into some crap!
Lastly, I think its embarrassing that they tagged you in the tattoo like it was something to be proud of. *smh*

Not only did the scratcher bootleg your tattoo design, he/she added other elements to the artwork that completely distorts the design's original message. The teardrops and music notes completely threw me off. I don't see sadness in your original, and the music notes just make the bootleg tattoo look childish. No Respect. I'm just annoyed as you are Miya.

What the hell. Man, I'm sorry. I had someone steal some of my work before, and in my case, it wasn't even a copy. They just removed me completely and said "Yeah, I did this."
