I don't believe in Flaws...

God made us all different for a reason...what one person dislikes about you another person will love...we all struggle from the mental images created by media... I'm too fat.... I'm too skinny... I'm too short... I'm too tall...I'm too dark... I'm too light...images of the people in magazines & tv that look like clones... They all look the same...is this how life suppose to be? Every human fighting to be the same size? How can the human form have flaws? Maybe it's the artist in me but I can't see flaws in the human body....just imagine life if everybody had the SAME body shape...everyone was the same skin tone....it would bore you...God made the perfect "YOU" ...there is only one "you" so who can you compare yourself too? Self esteem is loving who you are...the only change needed is mental growth ...your body is a temple.... That temple should look different from the next temple...love who you are...love every scar....love every birthmark...love how your hair roll up different from the next person....every finger print is different for a reason....what attracts you might don't attract me...we are humans... Not clones... Love yourself... You're the perfect YOU...your only "flaw" is not knowing why you were created that way...so your flaws are inside NOT outside...live a healthy life take care of yourself but don't try to change your body to FIT "media beauty" that's not reality...self esteem is the love of self... There is only one "YOU" and that one "you" can inspire a whole lot more when you STAND OUT

This is great. I used to battle about my body weight and be embarrassed that I was bigger than the rest. As I got older I realized that I could never find love if I didnt love myself. I ended up making my body work for me. I have been a plus size model now for over a year and I am so content with my job and where it takes me. It's good to know that there are still men out there that are accepting of differences in women or people period.

It takes to be in a special place to have wisdom like this. Continue to progress and know that someone else appreciates where you're coming from!

This is amazing....So true. We have to learn to love ourselves like God made us....There is only one "YOU" in the world and that's what makes everyone unique. We should cherish that.

Just as Melissa said I wish other men viewed us this way, or better yet expressed it. In my youth I heard so many negative things about my image from boys to the point where it did have an effect on me. It took me a while to realize those things they pointed out where something other guys saw as beautiful about me. Now that I have daughters around that same age where self images is judged by their peers (middle school), I make sure they know every day that they are beautiful. Thanks Miya continue to bless us with your mind.

This is one of my favorite blogs so far. With Valentine's Day coming around it subconsciously makes me reevaluate myself. Reading this makes me feel normal again. We have perfect flaws so do you, live you, be the best you everyday; you catch more flies wit honey than vinegar that way.

Very well written. You are a true artist and I admire you so much. The other day, I was in city of ink ... and saw you..something about your spirit. But any way, nice work-via words and the beautiful art you make.
