I'm back in Atlanta from my tattoo tour in Europe..this trip has changed my life...the first 2 weeks we stayed in London...I wanted to check out areas I have heard and read about....Brixton was one of those places...It reminded me of Harlem...the people were really cool... They spoke the vibe was cool... It was good energy... We hooked up with some people and we all smoked out...I could tell a lot of history was in Brixton.. I felt it which inspired this drawing...a heavenly bird that looks over the children of Brixton...children who look at Americans and want to be us..which wasn't really a good thing... People all over the world are looking at us trying to copy who they think we are...we all aren't role models so we can inspire the youth in a negative way at times...this drawing is for those children looking to find themselves in this new world... Brixton a piece of my heart was left behind with you...
I did this drawing using an 005 micron ink pen... No pencil was used... It was straight ink pencil.. I'm trying to do more ink drawing without the use of any pencil...I trying to get out the habit of everything having to be so perfect in a drawing... I guess since I have been tattooing for 18 years now it put me in a mindstate that everything as to be perfect... But this isn't skin it's a sketchbook so I had to let loose and let my hand follow my instinct..

love this and what a great story. i have to make sure i make it out to Brixton on the next tour.
Looks like an engraving, very nice.
The art is undoubtedly amazing, as usual. But the meaning behind it and what it represents makes the art so much more passionate. I know what you mean when you talk about the children who look at Americans and want to be like us because on several of my trips to the UK, I've been swarmed by British children who were so full of questions about our lives and the things they see on TV. I haven't been back since I've become more "conscious" of who I am and where I come from but when I do finally make it back there, I know what kinds of answers and lessons I need to teach the children about not being caught up in the false identities the media has created of Americans.
This picture is sooooo dope! Im so glad that I got put on to you!
